Lots of travel companies choosing Phu Yen as a destination
This summer travel season, a certain number of domestic travel companies brought tourists to Phu Yen. These units mostly chose the acknowledged-tourism destinations in the two provincial travel routes, including: Nhan Tower Relics Zone, the relics of Mon Beach-Dai Lanh Cape, the relics zone of No-number vessels-Vung Ro, Da Dia reef, An Tho Citadel. Besides, such beaches as Tuy Hoa, Long Thuy, Xep beach, Xuan Dai bay...do attract lots of tourists. As to the statistics of Phu Yen department of culture-sports-tourism, since the beginning of the year, lots of domestic travelers from Ha Noi or HCMC traveled by plane to the province, with group tours organized by Vietravel, Saigon tourists, Nam Quoc Travel, Lua Viet, Fiditour, Hai Dang, Cat Vang, Viettours, Viet Tourism, Thanh Nien tourism and New Horizon...
Mr. Tran Le Bao Chau, Director of Nam Quoc Travel Company (HCMC), lets known, "We've come to Phu Yen many times to do survey into tourism products. It can be said that tourism products here are not plentiful enough, not yet meeting tourists' demand but the destination does possess the intact beauty, peace, so much ideal for relaxing and picnicking tours. Our company has just held a tour for travelers to Phu Yen, and they did have such a great time".
According to Mr. Le Anh Hoang, deputy head of the Tourism division (Phu Yen department of culture-sports-tourism), during the first 7 months of 2014, the total number of tourists greeted by the provincial travel units is estimated at 491,000, reaching 65% of the year plan; among which is 45,600 foreign tourists. The estimated pure tourism revenue is 432.5 billion dongs, reaching 76% of the plan; the average accommodation period is 2 days; room occupancy is nearly 55%. Such hotels, tourism zones that welcome a large percentage of tourists are Cendeluxe, Kaya, Hung Vuong, Hong Ngoc, Trade Union, Anh Tuan, Vietstar tourism zone... Mr. Pham Van Bay, deputy director of Phu Yen department of culture-sports-tourism, lets known that to obtain such joyful signals, numerous factors are included, like the task of promoting and advertising tourism as well as the cooperation among the provincial travel agencies, the entire tourism sector and within each enterprise. Besides the travel units that bring tours, recently, via the internet, lots of young people have chosen Phu Yen as their destination.
Despite being assessed as one hospitable, attractive and potential destination, it is still impossible to say that Phu Yen tourism has succeeded in satisfying tourists. There's no longer debate on the intact, natural and peaceful beauty of the place, but what is commonly complained by tourists is the service, which is not only poor but also unable to meet the demands of tourist in terms of sightseeing and shopping. Phu Yen tourism is gradually forming and developing, attracting the travel units and tourists, but it's these remaining that lead to tourists' constant complaints, we haven't satisfied tourists once leaving. This has a very considerable influence on the psychology of "want to come back" of tourists.
