Traditional art performances to light up Hoi An-Japan festival
Japanese artists are also bringing their work to Hoi An city during the annual festival to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and Japan.
Activities will also be held at the city's Japanese bridge and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street. Some of the highlights include demonstrations on Kirie – the Japanese art of paper cutting and activities related to Japanese cuisine, tea-drinking customs and traditional games such as Jan-ken (paper, scissors, stone).
Street performance during the day and night will also take place during the festival.
A seminar on garbage management in Hoi An will be held at Hoai River square on August 23.
