The Cultural Tourism Week of Mu Cang Chai terraced field 2014 to come
The Cultural Tourism Week of Mu Cang Chai terraced field 2014 is an annually special festival of the Province which is held to honor the beauty of the attraction and also to attract more domestic and int'l tourists to the locality.
The event also aims to respond to the World Tourism Day (27 Sept.) and the 57th anniversary of the establishment of Mu Cang Chai District (18, Oct 1957 – 18, Oct 2014).
In the framework of the event, many fascinating cultural activities will take place such as fashion shows of office costumes, optional clothes and traditional ethnic costumes; mountainous market with 14 booths to introduce local products; trade fair; community tours...
In addition, other attractive activities such as performances of winemaking, tool forging, rice cake pounding, and instrument playing will also be held along Highway 32 from Tu Le Commune to the center of Mu Cang Chai District during the event.
Terraced fields are among the most well-known attractions in Viet Nam. Terraced fields appear not only in mountainous areas of Mu Cang Chai but also in Sa Pa (Lao Cai) and Hoang Su Phi (Ha Giang). Recently, Viet Nam terraced field has been honored by Mother Nature Network as one of most beautiful places in the world.
