New plan to preserve and improve Quang Nam’s ethnic groups’ culture
The phase 1 of the plan ( from 2013 to 2015) aims to urgently save and prevent the traditional culture from danger of disappearance as well as to promote the typical values of the ethnic group’s cultural heritage. Accordingly, from 50% - 60 % of hamlets’ or villages’ cultural houses (Guol houses or community houses) of the ethnic groups can operate well according to their own programmes; from 50% - 60 % of staffs are ethnic minority people and all of them will be trained through professional cultural courses. All districts which have ethnic minority people will be helped to develop at least one traditional occupation; four ethnic groups living in the province will be help to check and inventory their own cultural heritages.
In the period of 2016-2020 (phase 2), Quang Nam continues stepping up the exploitation and preservation of the specific cultural values and promoting the role of cultural heritages in building and developing ethnic groups’ culture.
Also in this period, from 70% - 85 % of hamlets’ or villages’ cultural houses (Guol houses or community houses) of the ethnic groups can operate well according to their own programmes; from 70% - 90 % of staffs are ethnic minority people and all of them will be trained through professional cultural courses.
All districts which have ethnic minority people will be helped to develop at least two traditional occupations and traditional arts such as folk songs, folk dances or specific tourist activities for social and economic development.
This plan will be implemented in the communes which have an amount of ethnic minority people enough to create their own private cultural aspects of the districts: Tay Giang, Dong Giang, Nam Giang, Phuoc Son, Hiep Duc, South Tra My, North Tra My and Nui Thanh. Four ethnic groups will be enjoyed this policy are: Cotu, Gie Trieng, Xedang and Cor./.
