Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung, head of Kaya hotel, lets known that the number of tourists coming to Phu Yen during Tet has been higher, and most are families. Apart from the reason of coming to explore Phu Yen and experience the nature, sea, islands, the other reason is that on the journey to the Central South coastal region, "the tourism capital" of Nha Trang has been fully booked, and this makes tourists come to Phu Yen, with lower prices, good quality as well as meeting the fundamental needs of tourism at sea, islands". In some other hotels like the Trade Union, Hung Vuong, Hong Ngoc, LongBeach, Sai Gon-Phu Yen, Si Kim..., room occupancy during Tet also surpasses 80.
With the positive facts at the hotels, the travel and tourism enterprises during Tet find it fairly a quiet year. Mr. Pham Luong Don, director of Thuan Thao travel center, let known "This year, the number tours to Phu Yen via the center decreases. The reason is tourists have bought tours from the travel agencies at the venues directly picking them. Hopefully, the real figure of tourists so far will be higher than the previous year, particularly prior to the tourism season and Vietnam Seafood Festival 2014 in Phu Yen province.
