Central city hosts international marathon

(Hanoitourist) - More than 4,000 athletes from 30 countries worldwide are competing at the Da Nang international marathon that opened in this central coastal city on August 31. 000marathon

The event forms part of activities held in Da Nang to celebrate Vietnam's National Day which falls on September 2.

Participants compete in three categories: full marathon, half marathon and a 5km fun run.

They also have opportunities to partake in other activities such as tours, exhibitions, a gala dinner and charitable deeds.

With the organisation of such event for the second time, Da Nang has officially become the 97 th member of the Association of International Marathon and Distance Races.
